Novak Djokovic has started 2012 the same way he finished 2011… as the best tennis player in the world! Djokovic outlasted Rafael Nadal to win the 2012 Australian Open in a nearly six-hour tennis marathon. Novak is the best player in the world and he is playing as good of tennis as anyone ever has!
Has Novak Djokovic’s 2011 season been the best in tennis history? Here are some of the numbers:
• No. 1 world ranking.
• 69-4 singles record.
• 10 titles.
• $10,779,803 in prize money.
Novak Djokovic has had the best tennis year ever. 64-2 record, three grand slam wins! It’s not the best record of all time, but it was done with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal as competition… it doesn’t get any better than that!
Serena is amazing! In my opinion, she is the greatest female tennis player of all time. She is the most athletic woman I’ve ever seen. Such a great champion… but she has had some attitude issues. I can’t believe the way she was talking to the umpire in the finals of the 2011 US Open… not right!
Donald Young is in the fourth round of the 2011 US Open… this is what I’ve been hoping for for about 5 years now! The 22-year old American was dubbed “The Future of US Tennis” back when he was the top junior player in the world. It didn’t happen. But he now is showing the results that his promising junior career had us hoping would be a constant.
The lefty is having by far his best showing in any of the majors.
Dunlop’s new Biomimetic Rackets are about as cool looking as I’ve ever seen for a tennis racket. A few of my players are playing with them and they look sick!
As in he’s the hottest player in tennis right now, with wins over Fed and Nadal… he’s on fire. Is he one his way to a No. 1 ranking? It kind of looks that way!
