Every wednesday is mowing day where I teach tennis. Last summer a tennis ball that was hit over the fence got run over by a giant riding lawn mower. The ball was in pretty good shape considering, except for the hole cut into it that looked just like a mouth… and Bally was born. When I found the ball I squeezed it and made it talk to the kids. I then drew eyeballs on it with a sharpie. I used a very annoying little voice. The younger kids loved it. The middle school kids could hardly look at me as they were so embarrassed, I was unfazed and continued to talk to them with it as much as possible
Later I upgraded Bally with googly eyes, a cowboy hat and a little tennis racket. Sadly he disappeared, as did his girlfriend Molly (a pink tennis ball).
Well good news everyone, Bally is back! And he’s better than ever. Stay tuned for some upcoming video from the tennis ball sensation himself.
