Serena Williams just won another major and I have to ask, who in the history of women’s tennis would be able to compete with her? She’s too strong and just too good.

2012 Grand Slam tennis schedule.
AUSTRALIAN OPEN January 16-29
FRENCH OPEN 28 May-10 June
WIMBLEDON 25 June-8 July
US OPEN 27 August-9 September

Novak Djokovic has had the best tennis year ever. 64-2 record, three grand slam wins! It’s not the best record of all time, but it was done with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal as competition… it doesn’t get any better than that!

Serena is amazing! In my opinion, she is the greatest female tennis player of all time. She is the most athletic woman I’ve ever seen. Such a great champion… but she has had some attitude issues. I can’t believe the way she was talking to the umpire in the finals of the 2011 US Open… not right!

Novak Djokovic
Novak Djokovic versus Roger Feder is about as good as it gets. The best vs the best ever! The Jokerster is having one of the best seasons in sports history and is the No. 1 seed and No. 1 player in the world. Fed Babe is seeded third and is playing some of his best hard-court tennis in years. He’s rolled through his past two rounds and looks ready for a superstar semifinal matchup.

Women’s tennis is beautiful to watch. It’s amazing to me the high level of play and how similar it is to the men’s game. This has been an enjoyable US Open!

Donald-Young
Donald Young is in the fourth round of the 2011 US Open… this is what I’ve been hoping for for about 5 years now! The 22-year old American was dubbed “The Future of US Tennis” back when he was the top junior player in the world. It didn’t happen. But he now is showing the results that his promising junior career had us hoping would be a constant.

The lefty is having by far his best showing in any of the majors.

The USA had four of the final 16 mens singles players in the US Open… this is huge! Mardy Fish is seeded 8th and plays 11th seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the fourth round. Andy Roddick is playing his best tennis in a while and faces David Ferrer in the fourth round. Donald Young is playing his best tennis ever and plays the winner of Andy Murray vs Feliciano Lopez.

Mardy FIsh – 4th round
Donald Young – 4th round
John Isner – Playing Bogomolov Jr. in 3rd round
Alex Bogomolov Jr. – Playing Isner in 3rd round
